"Dear Stacy" Tackles Sleep Deprivation

Dear Stacy,
I have a two year old and a one year old. Will I ever catch up on sleep?

Sara

Dear Sara,
I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old. I think I can say with relative certainty that, yes, you will catch up on your sleep. When you are dead.

Rest In Peace,
Stacy

Yep, I'm with Stacy on this one. Although, I do admit I do fairly well with a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old, but I think saying "caught up" is taking it a bit far. Not to mention that in about a year, 2 at the most, I'll be losing more sleep from worrying since the 10 year old will be out with friends without me probably....eek

Stacy-
We're on the same wavelength these days. I did a post EARLY this morning about this. (It's Called "Genus Wakeus Upus Earlyus" if anybody wants to read for extra credit.)

I have a 7, 4, and 1 year old. I agree with "dog snob" that it does get better...but 'caught up' would definitely be an exaggeration. My kids all sleep through the night and you get real excited about that when it first starts happening, but then you realize that getting up when the first number on the clock reads 5:--something is not quite cutting it.

Taking an informal poll:
Does anybody else know what I'm talking about when I say you're so tired you're nauseous? My friends and I call that "newborn tired" where you can't see straight and you think you just might throw up, but of course that requires more energy than your sleep-deprived self can muster.

Sorry for the digression...Back to your post...Yes, may we all rest in peace.
