Recently several of you have sent me videos or blog topics that are hysterical. Keep 'em coming. I love to hear what you think is funny, compelling, thought provoking, and sass worthy. In essence I'm looking for blog fodder. Any topics you'd like to see me address? I love Christian and church related topics. But I also like real life issues, too. So think about it and leave me a comment....
You guys are awesome!
Hi Stacy...
ReplyDeleteWhat about fake Christian swearing? You know, like saying "freaking" instead of the wordly alternative? I originally thought this would be a good SCL post but then realized Jon may have already covered it but then was too lazy to do a search and so...
I thought you might like to talk about it. Unless you already have. Didn't do a search on your site either.
Sorry - I guess it's a case of the Monday lazies. (Never you mind that I'm occasionally lazy all week long! I'm blaming Monday!)

ReplyDeleteHa! Good one, me. I meant "worldly alternative" not "wordly."
ReplyDeleteI told you - Monday.
How about a piece about Couples Retreats? The few my husband & I have been to seem to be chararacterized by a lot of arguing & me punching him in the shoulder because he wasn't "washing me with water through the word" sufficiently.
ReplyDeletePhotoqueen, Ryan B, a follower here, did a post on that a few days ago. Stacy, maybe you want to check it out before you do one.
ReplyDeleteRyan B's take on Christian Cuss Words.
Stacy - Christian and church related, or real life stuff...hmmm, Christian and church aren't real life? Could we have found something here?!:)
ReplyDeleteYou called dibs on "coin slots" at SCL.
ReplyDeleteI've been putting stuff back in anticipation of a garage sale in the spring and have been thinking about what would be inappropriate items to find at a Christian's garage sale. For example, I'd like to get rid of my husband's old shot glass collection and what about a questionable book or 2 that I would be embarrassed for certain people to know that I owned! May be a good post to do when garage sale mania starts up again and with some funny possibilities!
ReplyDeleteMore about bible college maybe? The posts you've already done on it were very funny!
ReplyDeleteYou want fodder, you got crap. Come on over to my blog and see what you've won. We need to know the down and dirty about you :)
ReplyDeleteI threw this one at Jon a few months ago and he hasn't bitten - my kid goes to AWANAS, and has to drop a quarter in the piggy bank at every meeting. What do the cubbie leaders do with all those quarters? Chuck E Cheese? Christian version of "Quarters"? Bingo?
ReplyDeleteHey Stacy. I think I would like to hear more about Christian couples personally. It's something that I wouldn't be able to make a sufficient post about and a topic that you could provide a good amount of sass while also giving insight to others.
ReplyDeleteHow about this one?:
ReplyDeleteAssigning cartoon/fictional characters to some of your favorite bloggers? I just finished my first installment. At first I thought it would be a fluff piece (as are most of my posts), but it's really got me thinking to a point where my brain actually hurts!
(You're on the list, btw: stay tuned!)
i vote bible college. im thinkin bout goin. also.. couples! Christian couples are something else. lol
ReplyDeleteWow. Playing catch up... Um, how's about this???

Ha! You asked for this!
I like the Christian cussing suggestion. If you use that idea, here are my contributions:
ReplyDelete1. Farfegnugen--cause it's fun to say. No matter that it's German for "driving pleasure", it still sounds like a swear word without being one.
2. Son of a Biscuit
3. Mother Fudgecake
4. Cheese and Rice
5. Shittake mushroom
